Xmas Gout Attack: Solutions for sufferers
How was your Xmas feast? Did you enjoy the lavish layers of meat and gravy, revel in the spirit of alcohol, savour the trifle and cream and then wake up with a bout of Xmas Gout?
The following solutions will help sufferers:
1. Drink lots and lots of water for the next few days to flush out the toxins. If you don’t like drinking water then buy the water bottles with flavour in them.
2. Be moderate in your Xmas/New Year revelling. In other words, take it easy on the alcohol and rich foods. There are alternatives like low cal alcohol, and snacks with natural foods.
3. Elevate the swollen joint and rest.
3. Once the initial gout attack has subsided make a commitment to do some moderate exercise. Walk around the block daily.
